چکیده

Abstract The host status of South African adapted, genetically modified (GM) glyphosate-tolerant soybean genotypes to root-knot (field and glasshouse) lesion (field) nematodes were assessed. Analyses root soil samples 29 (collected from seven production areas during the 2014/15 season) enabled identification nine plant-parasitic nematode genera 10 species. Predominant endoparasitic in Meloidogyne ( incognita M. javanica ) Pratylenchus brachyurus , P. zeae teres ). Rotylenchulus parvus was predominant semi-endoparasite soil, followed by Scutellonema Helicotylenchus sp. Only ‘PAN 1583 R’ 1521 maintained less than 10% spp. densities present roots most susceptible genotype, while all 36 infection, evaluated two follow-up glasshouse experiments terminated 56 days after inoculation ca. 1000 eggs second-stage juveniles (J2) per seedling, varied substantially for final population density (Pf), reproduction factor (Rf) relative percentage susceptibility (%S). ‘PRF-GCI7’ resistant reference ‘LS 5995’ had Rfs < 1 both experiments, despite higher minimum maximum temperatures recorded second experiment. Continuous evaluation their pests use reduce such species producer’s fields are crucial enable sustainable crop production, contribute towards food provision security.

Pathogenicity of Pratylenchus penetrans, Heterodera glycines, and Meloidogyne incognita on Soybean Genotypes.

The pathogenicity of Heterodera glycines, Meloidogyne incognita, and Pratylenchus penetrans on H. glycines-resistant 'Bryan,' tolerant-susceptible 'G88-20092,' and intolerant-susceptible 'Tracy M' soybean cultivars was tested using plants grown in 800 cm(3) of soil in 15-cm-diam. clay pots in three greenhouse experiments. Plants were inoculated with 0, 1,000, 3,000, or 9,000 H. glycines race 3 ...

Relative Virulence of Meloidogyne incognita Host Races on Soybean.

All Mi races reproduced readily on Lee 68 and Lee 74 and mo...

Penetration and Development of Meloidogyne incognita on Roots of Resistant Soybean Genotypes.

Meloidogyne incognita penetration and development were studied in roots of highly resistant (PI 96354, PI 417444), resistant (Forrest), and susceptible (Bossier) soybean genotypes. Although more second-stage juveniles (J2) had penetrated roots of PI 96354 and PI 417444 than roots of Forrest and Bossier by 2 days after inoculation, fewer J2 were present in roots of PI 96354 at 4 days after inocu...

Host Status of Herbaceous Perennials to Meloidogyne incognita and M. arenaria.

Twenty-two different herbaceous perennials were studied for their reaction to separate inoculations of Meloidogyne arenaria and M. incognita under greenhouse conditions. Perennial taxa that did not develop root-galls following inoculation, and therefore are considered as nonhosts of both nematode species, included species and cultivars of Aethionema, Fragaria, Phlox, and Polygonum. Echinacea, M...

Spatial and Temporal Interactions of Meloidogyne incognita and Soybean.

The spatial and temporal dynamics of Meloidogyne incognita, relative to soybean shoot and root growth in field microplots, were determined at 11 sampling dates during a growing season. The population dynamics of M. incognita on soybean were dependent on initial population (Pi), soil moisture, and root spatial distribution. Final egg and juvenile population densities were greatest in plots with ...
